In the mid-1990’s Jersey Tourism introduced a training programme for people meeting visitors face-to-face, from taxi and coach drivers to site and general guides. Known as the Bronze Award, holders have attended a six week programme of evening classes and days in the field and passed a knowledge test. The Bronze Award includes basic practical guide training.
